WorkshopThis interactive, beginner-friendly quilting workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of quilting through the Disappearing 9-Patch block. Attendees will learn basic cutting, piecing, and layout techniques, and walk away with completed blocks that come together into a shared quilt top. No prior quilting experience required.
The finished quilt top will be completed by the the instructor after the workshop and donated to Quilts of Valor in honor of veterans.
About the Instructors
Tammy Barlet is a Coast Guard veteran and Improv alum who began sewing after taking an ASAP quilting workshop in 2021. She was instantly intrigued to learn more about this art form that fabricates the freedom of creativity. Her quilts have been shown in galleries and quilt shows. Tammy is also a member of the Annapolis Quilt Guild where she co-chairs the events committee.
