Sewing Basics: Bag Edition
July 2 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Central
This three-week class meets on Thursdays, July 2, 9, and 16.
Ready to build your skills and create something you’ll actually use? This beginner-friendly class gets you comfortable at the sewing machine while you learn the essentials—machine safety, how it works, threading, bobbins, and straight stitching.
We’ll also cover tools, seam allowance, and simple tips to make sewing easier and more enjoyable. Then put it all into practice by creating a reversible tote bag and a boxy zip pouch. You’ll learn how to read a sewing pattern, understand construction basics, add lining and pockets, sew a zipper, and create boxed corners for structure. No experience needed—just come ready to learn, create, and have fun.
