About the Instructors
Rico Southee is an American recording artist and music educator who has spent his life playing guitar. His dedication to music provided him the opportunity to play with saxophonist and jazz composer Sam Rivers, as well as the United States Air Force Band. Rico has performed around the world including Europe, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Dominican Republic. Rico attended the Jazz Performance Program at the University of North Florida, where he studied jazz harmony and improvisation. In addition, Rico studied recording engineering at Full Sail School of Recording Arts and live sound engineering at Kingston Polytechnic, London, England.
Todd Connolly, aka Bird, studied music at Western Oklahoma State College and UTSA. He has played with many bands including Thunder Horse, Pitbull Daycare, Evil United, and Cult to Follow. His contributions to Thunder Horse helped them reach number one on Doom Metal charts. As featured guitarist on three of Pitbull Daycare’s albums, Todd’s work has been featured in the movies Saw and Scary Movie 4 and the television show NCIS.
