This seven-week class meets on Thursdays, March 19, 26, April 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

You don’t need an expensive digital camera—or even a lens—to make beautiful images. A simple, light-tight box with a pinhole can produce surprisingly rich and expressive photographs.

In this seven-week class, participants will build their own pinhole cameras and take them into the world to capture images of their choosing. Along the way, you’ll learn how to develop and print your photographs in the darkroom. By the end of the course, you’ll have a small portfolio of handmade images that echo the earliest days of photographic history.
