About the Instructors

Eiram Torres is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist, passionate about arts integration and Social Justice. Growing up in Tijuana, the border has inspired them to challenge their own culture. They strive to inspire others to speak out against discrimination and discover themselves through artistic expression.

Isaac Levy was born and raised in Chula Vista and is a filmmaker. He went to San Francisco State for film school and fell in love with the process and collaborative aspects of the art form! He’s been with Outside The Lens for a year now mainly working in Juvenile Court and Community (JCCS) schools and a multitude of other programs all across San Diego County. Issac thinks being creative within your community is essential to claim agency and fight for what’s right.

This workshop is produced in partnership with Outside the Lens and is funded in part by Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network, an initiative of the National Endowment in partnership with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant program is managed by Mid-America Arts Alliance.
