Songwriting
June 9 @ 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm Eastern
This four-week class will meet on Tuesdays: June 9, 16, 23, and 30.
Build your creative vocabulary using strategies to help you find your personal sound and overcome writer’s block.
We will look to other songwriters to build the skills used in creating our own musical masterpieces. As Mozart once said:
“People err who think my art comes easily to me. I assure you, dear friend, nobody has devoted so much time and thought to compositions as I. There is not a famous master whose music I have not industriously studied through many times.”
We will break down specific elements used in songs across different genres, then apply those principles through hands-on exercises in class and at home.
