This six-week class meets on Sundays: March 16, 23, 30, April 6, 13, and 27 (skip April 20). Each session is 2 hours.
Art can be exploratory and fun, offering a unique approach to creativity. In this acrylic painting course, participants are encouraged to embrace play as a fundamental tool for experimentation and innovation.
Whether you’re a beginner gaining confidence through experimental exercises or an advanced artist seeking new challenges, this course focuses on problem-solving, spontaneity, and the use of unique materials to guide artistic processes. This course also explores representational and abstract painting in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Through one-on-one instruction and informal discussions, participants are nurtured in a conducive learning environment where creativity thrives. All skill levels are welcome.
This class will have a graduation show on Sunday, May 4th at the Torggler Center to showcase their work for family, friends and the community.
About the Instructor
Molly Peet is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with an undergraduate degree in fine arts. She specializes in ceramics and painting. Molly has taught art for close to two decades for kids and adults. Her personal work is a variety of mixed-media paintings and ceramics.
