Acting for the Camera

Cameras are everywhere. Whether you’re shooting a multi-million dollar movie or having a zoom interview, the basics of camera still apply. Knowing how to navigate them, both in acting and in life, can be a major advantage. This class will cover the basics of camera, including: being accessible, minimizing ‘camera noise’, framing, and bringing the audience in rather than pushing out to them.
About the Instructor
Caitlin Bassett starred as co-lead of the NBC sci-fi adventure show, Quantum Leap, which marked her debut into acting. Prior to acting Caitlin spent 7 years in the U.S. Army working in Military Intelligence with multiple deployments to Afghanistan and other locations in the Middle East. She is one of very few combat veterans currently working in Hollywood.
She graduated from the world renowned Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City, and was selected form 40,000 applicants to join the ABC/Disney Discovers Showcase in 2020.
