Delivery, word choice, and myriad other elements can make your audience laugh — but perhaps the most important factor is authenticity. Even if you’ve never thought of yourself as a comedian, you’ll come away from this workshop knowing how to land jokes on stage while still being totally yourself. Don’t forget to bring a notebook and a pen to write down your ideas!
About the Instructor
Sam DiSalvo (she/her) is mostly a writer with actor and comedian tendencies. She’s been featured in SF Sketchfest, San Diego Her Film Challenge and So Say We All’s VAMP in San Diego and Los Angeles, to name a few spots. She co-hosts the grief podcast Sorry For Your Loss and writes a Substack on pop culture and other musings. In her spare time, she loves having existential conversations and Bar Rescue.
