Lights, Camera … Action!

Taught by professional theatre artists, this five-week class will introduce you to rehearsal techniques including scene work, character development, voice and movement, and dramatic interpretation.

This five-week class will meet on Sundays: April 7, 14, 21, 28, and May 5. The 2nd session (on April 14) will be held from 2:00 – 4:30pm.

About the Instructor

Scott Russell is an AEA actor, SDC Fight Director, educator, and a Full Instructor with Dueling Arts International; he currently divides his time between Northwest Arkansas and Indianapolis, IN. He is recognized as an Advanced Actor Combatant with DAI and the Society of American Fight Directors and an Intermediate Actor Combatant with Fight Directors Canada, the Society of Australian Fight Directors, Inc., the Nordic Stage Fight Society, and the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat. He has previously served as instructor for the Indianapolis Opera’s Resident Artist program.

Scott received his MFA in Theatre from the University of Arkansas, and is a graduate of The Conservatory at Act One Studios – Chicago. He holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from Belmont University and spent many years as a cancer biologist.
