This six-week class is a thorough introduction to acrylic painting. Over the course of the session students will learn basic techniques and practice their new skills. This class is great for developing foundational painting skills like materials handling and color mixing. All materials are provided.
The first session of this class is Saturday, March 18 from 10 AM-12 PM and will meet weekly through April 29, skipping the week of April 8. The graduation show for this class will be on Wednesday, May 10 at 7 PM.
About the Instructor
Will Fleischell is an engraver with the Department of the Treasury and creates rare prints from his Capitol Hill studio with a 150 year old printing press. His creations include book plates for Smithsonian exhibits and Oprah’s personal seal and bookplates. Will also does figurative life drawing at the Capitol Hill Art League, and paints portraits and landscapes. Read more here.
