Learn basic watercolor techniques like wet on wet painting, layering, and color mixing to create your own soft landscape. Class will begin by testing and exploring your materials and colors, having a demonstration by the instructor on how to put them together, and then being set free to paint your landscape! Examples and references will be available, or you can follow your imagination!
About the Instructor
Emily Winkel is the adult watercolor instructor at the Indianapolis Art Center in addition to being a full time working artist. Emily has a BFA in Illustration from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and her favorite things to paint include portraits, birds, florals, landscapes, and of course, a Lake Michigan sunset. She focuses on all things that can bring joy and restfulness to her viewer.
