Program Type

Finding your writing voice doesn’t have to be hard work. It’s just a matter of letting your words and ideas flow onto the page without tinkering and re-tinkering your way into a creative cul-de-sac. In this six-week class, you’ll write–in the moment–to cues and prompts and then share your work in a supportive environment. You can write in whatever form inspires you, from prose (memoir, nonfiction, fiction) to poetry.

The first session of this class is Sunday, March 19 from 6:30-9 PM and will meet weekly through April 30, skipping the week of April 9.

About the Instructor

Wordsmith Alison Schoew is fascinated by language. She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics (study which only further fueled her passion for language and dialect), and has taught both at Old Dominion University and at The Muse Writers Center. Read more here

This class is produced in partnership with The Muse Writers’ Center.
