Explore the basics of stained glass and learn how to create a colorful suncatcher! In this introductory workshop, you will cut, shape, foil, and solder glass to craft a dazzling heart-shaped piece.

For safety, students must have full vision capabilities, gripping strength with both hands, and adequate hand-eye coordination. Students must wear a cotton shirt, pants, and closed toe shoes. No sandals, shorts, or synthetics.

About the instructor

Nancy Peterson is a Carmel-based artist, currently teaching at the Indianapolis Art Center. Nancy studied art with a major in ceramics at Tennessee, Knoxville. She has taught at the Midland Center for the Arts in Midland, Michigan, and all over the Indianapolis area, including twelve years with the Carmel Parks Department.
