Spark up your creativity and learn the basics of welding! Explore the malleability of metal and all you can build with it by cutting and forming it into free-form ferrous works of art.

For safety, participants must have full vision capabilities, gripping strength with both hands, and adequate hand-eye coordination. Participants must wear a cotton shirt, pants, and closed toe shoes. No sandals, shorts, or synthetics.

Instructor

Julie Ball received her BFA in Sculpture from Ohio University and her MFA in Sculpture from Southern Illinois University. Her work has been widely exhibited in Midwestern and Eastern states and she has taught and inspired art students at Marian College and the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis. Julie has also been a recipient of the Creative Renewal Grant from the Arts Council of Indianapolis.
