Spark up your creativity and learn the basics of welding! Explore the malleability of metal and all you can build with it by cutting and forming it into free-form ferrous works of art.

All materials will be provided. For safety, participants must have full vision capabilities, gripping strength with both hands, and adequate hand-eye coordination. Please wear a cotton shirt, pants, and closed toe shoes. No sandals, shorts, or synthetics.

About the Instructor

Jeremy Pugh grew up working as a farm hand where he learned a little bit of everything. He graduated from Indiana State University in 2008 with his BA in Technical Theatre and has worked as the Installation/Warehouse Manager for Impact Group Scenic Art Services for the past 6 years before coming to the Indianapolis Art Center. During his time at ISU he had the opportunity to take many sculpture classes where he specialized in kinetic steel sculpture.
