This seven-week class meets on Wednesdays: October 9, 16, 23, 30, November 6, 13, and 20. Each session is 2 hours.

Ready to take your first steps of Shakespeare? Through a combination of text analysis and performance, participants will gain a working knowledge of Shakespeare’s plays and language – verse, prose, meter, character, and intent – a foundation that can then be applied towards continuing appreciation of study. Students will work on scenes and monologues in the class, under the guidance of an Shakespeare Theatre Company teaching artist, which will culminate in a final performance for family and friends.
