Drawing for beginners
June 2 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm Central
This four-week class meets on Tuesdays, June 2, 9, 16, and 23.
Ready to make your drawings look more accurate — without overthinking it? This beginner-friendly class uses fun, fast-paced exercises to help you better see shapes, proportions, light, and shadow so what you draw starts to match what you’re looking at.
We’ll start with quick warm-ups that sharpen your observation and build confidence, then move into longer, guided drawings from real-life objects — both natural and man-made. Along the way, you’ll explore pencil, water-soluble graphite, ink, charcoal, and conte, building skills you can use on any subject. You’ll leave with a finished drawing and the tools to keep going. No experience needed, all supplies will be included.
