This workshop will provide basic playwriting nuts and bolts instruction with substantial writing exercises to get participants started on writing a 10-minute play. Participants will be invited to a 2nd session in June, 2024 to prepare their plays for submission to a military-themed playwriting competition.
About the instructor
Stephanie Kline is an ASAP Comedy Bootcamp alum, a Marine Corps veteran, and a New Perspectives Theatre Company (NYC) playwriting fellow. Her play, Potshots, won first place in the 2023 Veterans Repertory Theater 10-minute playwriting competition, and her work has been selected for staged readings and festivals across the country. She studied playwriting at the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Kennedy Center, and with the Chicago Dramatists.
