In this seven-week class, participants will learn the fundamentals of playwriting to write and produce a short play. We will utilize writing prompts to get the creative juices flowing, though students are free to explore any subject. Through peer-feedback and instructor guidance, each participant will have a final product to perform for friends and family.
This seven-week class meets on Wednesdays: March 20, 27, April 3, 10, 17, 24, and May 1. The final class is a dress rehearsal for the graduation showcase on Thursday, May 2, where participants will perform for an audience of friends, family, and the community.
About the Instructor
Tammarrah Addison is a US Navy veteran, artist, and author of Unbossed & Unapologetic: Poetry for the Awakened Woman (2018). She is a certified creative art educator for the Virginia Commission of the Arts.
