About the Instructors
Andrew Nunn is an award-winning fine art photographer, combat veteran, and visual artist based in San Antonio, Texas. A former U.S. Army Combat Medic who completed three deployments to Iraq, Andrew went on to work as a photojournalist and documentary photographer, covering the reintegration struggles of returning veterans and the civil conflicts in Iraq and Syria — with work appearing in The Wall Street Journal, La Presse, De Tijd, and through assignments with the United Nations.
Today, Andrew specializes in the historic wet plate collodion process, operating his mobile studio, Unseen Silver, where he creates tintypes, ambrotypes, and auratypes — a luminous process of his own invention. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Art Institute of Austin.
