About the Instructors
Jacque Allen is an Army veteran and spouse of a disabled veteran. Storytelling is part of her family heritage. It began with her listening to, “Grannies Holiday Stories”. Now she is writing a children’s book series of “Nana’s Notes”. As an author, voiceover artist, and professional storyteller, Jacque intentionally shares the power of words and the importance of using them wisely. Words are her love language. Read more here.
Debbie Griffin uses her children’s theater background to entertain her audiences with tales crafted with music, drama, and movement. Since 1982 she has been telling stories at libraries, schools, festivals, churches and parks including the Washington Folk Festival, The Virginia Storytelling Alliance Gathering, Alexandria and Maryland Public TV, The Fairfax Fall for the Book, and in Suffolk public libraries and schools.
