DESCRIPTION:This workshop is designed to enhance a peaceful yet powerful engagement between your head\, heart\, and hands. In this workshop we will use simple art making tools to help (re)ignite the innate excitement of your inner observer\, the part of you capable of seeing the world with fresh new eyes! \n\n\n\nThis workshop is open to the entire military community including service members\, veterans\, military family members\, caregivers\, and survivors. You do not need to be a VFW member to attend. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Instructor \n\n\n\nDonna Iona Drozda designs studios for young and adult artists as a member of the faculty at the Virginia MOCA and as a statewide educator with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

DESCRIPTION:In this 4 hour workshop\, we’ll explore the broad modality of beadwork and jewelry making. This will include the tools of the trade\, setting yourself up for success and figuring out how to allow your unique creative voice to shine through within this dynamic medium! If shiny things catch your eye\, then this is the class for you! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Instructor \n\n\n\nJama Watts has been creating all of her life\, she has a B.A. in art from Campbellsville University and MLIS from the University of Kentucky. She’s a mom of a motley crew\, wife of a retired airman\, full-time artist/jeweler/craftsperson\, and former librarian\, genealogist\, web designer\, barista\, and gallery owner. Jama was previously juried into the Kentucky Crafted program and has won several awards for jewelry design from Fire Mountain Gems and Bead and Button’s Bead Dreams competition.
