SUMMARY:Hand Built Ceramics
DESCRIPTION:This two-week class meets on Sundays\, May 9 and May 16 from 1-4 PM. \n\n\n\nLearn fundamental techniques for handbuilding ceramic forms. Using templates to make and cut clay slabs to shape\, construct\, and form a bowl or a cup on the first day. The second day\, bisque-fired work will be glazed for the final firing to make your work a fully functional serving piece. \n\n\n\nPresented in Partnership with The University of Texas at San Antonio\, Professional and Continuing Education\, Community Art Programs. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Instructor \n\n\n\nLyn Woods received a certificate in ceramics from Southwest School of Art in 2007. She has studied ceramics at Anderson Ranch and previously taught ceramic classes for The Firehouse in Del Rio\, Texas.
