DESCRIPTION:Ready to think faster\, laugh harder\, and surprise yourself? In this Intro to Improv Workshop\, you’ll jump into the core skills of improv comedy\, agreement\, acceptance\, and fearless collaboration. \n\n\n\nThrough dynamic games and group exercises\, you’ll learn how to create scenes on the spot\, trust your instincts\, and have a ridiculous amount of fun doing it. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Instructors \n\n\n\nBrian Scribner has been in the San Antonio improv community for over a decade and has been a theatrical actor since the 80’s. He was awarded theater scholarships for both acting and singing. Brian has performed in multiple comedy festivals\, is a talented vocalist\, and has performed in over 2000 shows! (It’s probably more\, but after a certain point you stop keeping count). Brian is the proud father to 3 wonderful grown children\, and when he is off stage he enjoys spending time supporting their endeavors. \n\n\n\nLisa Little is an improviser\, educator\, and corporate trainer with over a decade of experience performing\, teaching\, and applying improv fundamentals to professional development. She has trained with ComedySportz\, iO\, The Second City Chicago\, and UCB\, and has performed nationally and internationally. Lisa currently serves as President of ComedySportz Worldwide. \n\n\n\nJason Boyson has been performing and teaching improv for nearly two decades\, making him a cornerstone of the San Antonio comedy community. As Head Coach of ComedySportz San Antonio\, he has helped shape countless performers while continuing to bring his own sharp\, playful style to the stage.

Each class session is 90 minutes. \n\n\n\nReady to think faster\, laugh harder\, and surprise yourself? This class introduces you to fundamentals for creating effective improv scene work through team-building\, trust\, speed\, status\, and agreement—all tools used by professional improvisers. \n\n\n\nThrough interactive exercises\, you’ll sharpen your listening\, practice collaborating with others\, and\, most importantly\, have a blast. A few simple mindset shifts can open the door to more creativity\, confidence\, and connection – both on stage and off. No experience needed\, just a willingness to play! Wear comfortable clothing\, no high heels or open toed shoes.
