Class

This six-week class will meet on Sundays, July 26, August 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.

Dive into scenes from Shakespeare’s plays, guiding participants through a fun, physical process that brings his language off the page and into the body.

Working directly from the First Folio, you’ll partner up with a fellow actor to explore scenes together — finding the life in the language, embodying iconic characters, and discovering how Shakespeare’s words function as action between people. Games and physical exercises add another layer, helping you connect with the text in ways that go beyond just speaking the lines.

By the end, you’ll have made these centuries-old scenes genuinely your own.

Open to all levels — just bring your curiosity and imagination for a playful, challenging, and rewarding experience.
