Knitting basics: build a bookmark

Come learn the basics to get started knitting. We will cover cast on, knit stitch, cast off, and minor problem-solving in this beginner basics class. Over 2 hours, you will learn to knit a bookmark.
All materials are provided, however, if you’re interested in bringing your own needles, we recommend Size 6 – 9 knitting needles. If you would like to bring your own yarn, anything will work. All participants will need to sign a waiver, you can complete it ahead of time using this link or at the beginning of class.
About the Instructor
Leslie Valantine learned to knit when she was 10 years old. Her love of knitting turned into a yarn-dyeing business, Lazer Sheep Yarns, that she have now been running for over 12 years. She takes knitting anywhere she may have a chance to sit and stitch a while. Leslie often hears a lot of people express that they would like to learn, and is looking forward to giving you that chance!
