Learn the basics of block printing and create editions of your very own handmade prints. From designing your image to carving, inking, and printing, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the wonders of our Print Shop in this 6-week class. Our instructor will provide demonstrations and feedback designed to encourage and develop your artistic style. Printmaking experience is not necessary, but welcomed!

This six-week class will meet on Mondays: September 18, 25, October 2, 16, 23, 30 (skip October 9). Each session is 3 hours.

About the Instructor

Jody Bruns is an artist and printmaker living in Carmel, Indiana. She began her printmaking journey in 2011 at the Indianapolis Art Center. She specializes in wood and linoleum block printing as well as wood and resin engraving. Additionally, she has experience with copper etching, silk screen printing and lithography. Since 2011, she has participated in numerous local, regional, and national exhibitions and has sold her work nationally. Jody is the Director and Treasurer of 67 th Street Printmakers, Advisor and New Member Chair of the Indiana Artists Club, an associate member of Hoosier Salon and a member of the Wood Engravers Network.
