About the Instructor
Emma Posey has been practicing ceramics for the past 8 years, and has been teaching for the last 3. Her ceramic works are based on daily insecurity and anxiety, portrayed through a whimsical and humorous lens. Their purpose is to wear these humiliating sides in all of us on their sleeves with pride and ignorance, hoping to lessen the heaviness of the insecurity as a whole, and inspiring a new perspective for herself and the viewers. She holds a B.F.A. in Ceramics from West Virginia University, and has attended residencies such as Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts, and Touchstone Center for Crafts.
