Elements of Fiction Writing
November 1 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Pacific
We’re going to open the doors to fiction and look inside to see how stories are built. In this fast-paced three-hour workshop, we’ll examine each of these elements—character, setting, plot, theme, point of view, and style—and discuss how they work together to create a compelling story. This will be the foundation from which you’ll create the story or stories you want to write.
Participants will have an opportunity to explore each of the essentials through brief in-class writing exercises and lively discussion. No writing experience is required, all writers are welcome. Just bring your notebook or your laptop and leave with practical tools to create compelling fiction.
