Comedy Crash Course
December 6 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Eastern

Comedy Crash Course is a three-hour introductory workshop into the art of stand-up comedy. Professional comics teach you how to uncover humor in your personal experiences. You’ll learn the basics of structuring jokes, comedy writing, and stand-up techniques in an interactive environment.
About the Instructors
Sara Minor is a Navy veteran and a graduate of both Storytelling and Comedy Bootcamp with ASAP. She has served as a mentor and assistant instructor for several Comedy Bootcamp sessions. When she’s not doing comedy, she’s doing space things at her job at NASA, Mom things with her teenage son, going to as many concerts as possible, and dodging turtles on her motorcycle. Ask her the story, she’d be happy to tell you. As are most things in life, it’s hilarious.
Ian Brice is a stand-up comedian, actor, and caretaker for his cousin in the Air Force. As a former mentor and current assistant instructor with ASAP’s stand-up comedy program, Ian brings both experience and heart to the stage. He has won the Sean Malec Comedy Smackdown Roast Battle, placed in the Clash of the Comics at the Virginia Beach Funny Bone, and in 2024 became the first-ever winner in the U.S. Comedy Contest to take home titles in both the Headliner category and the Two Years and Under category. Ian also hosts the investigative podcast Under the Tree: The Murder of Shellie Carson and runs a thriving TikTok presence, where he mixes comedy with affiliate marketing—selling everything from bold underwear to quirky products. His work blends humor with advocacy, promoting diversity, mental health, and addiction awareness.
