Art of Home: At Ease
October 12 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm Eastern

This class explores how sensory design can shape the way a home feels and how intentionally selected elements can support greater comfort, calm, and restoration. We’ll examine lighting, color, texture, scent, sound, and everyday routines.
Participants will learn to identify the sensory conditions that help them feel more settled and those that create distraction, discomfort, or overstimulation. You’ll then develop a personalized At Ease Plan for one area of your home, selecting sensory elements and supportive routines that align with how you want the space to feel.
The class moves beyond decorating for appearance alone by examining how sensory layers can work together, compete with one another, or affect the experience of a space at different times of day. Participants will consider which elements should be emphasized, softened, adjusted, or removed and how a room might support different needs, from quiet rest and reflection to comfort, connection, or renewed energy.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how to evaluate a space through a sensory-design lens and make more intentional choices about the atmosphere they create at home.
